Drucker mit Cups unter openSUSE 10.3 stoppt nach aus- und wieder einschalten
Problem:
Unter openSUSE 10.3 bei der Verwendung von CUPS muss der Drucker jedesmal manuell mit “Drucker starten” neu gestartet werden nachdem der Drucker aus- und wieder eingeschaltet wurde. D.h. Cups setzt den Drucker automatisch auf “Drucker stoppen”.
Lösung:
In der Datei /etc/cups-autoconfig.conf muss der Eintrag
DisablePrintersOnRemoval=yes
in
DisablePrintersOnRemoval=no
geändert werden.
Zum Bearbeiten der Datei kann z.B. nano verwendet werden:
nano /etc/cups-autoconfig.conf
Nun ist nur noch ein neustart von Cups erforderlich. Dies geschieht mit dem Befehl
/etc/init.d/cups restart
Damit sollte das Problem gelösst sein.
